I am beyond annoyed with it at this point. It's not that I am not concerned with those who have
caught the wretched thing, I'm just not convinced it's any worse than our common seasonal influenza. So, STOP PANICKING, all you hypochondriac germaphobes! Might you catch it? Sure, but look at the statistics. It's not likely at this point, and even so, it IS likely you'll recover.Another thing that peeves me off? How lightly people take the actual flu! Someone gets a bad cold and says, "I have the flu. *sniffle, sniffle*" Give me a break! The flu stinks. It's downright nasty. I guarantee you, that measly headache and soar throat is no influenza, my friends.
In short, the fact that everyone is freaking out about a virus that's no worse than the common flu...and those same people consider a measly cold the flu...It just does not add up for me.

As for me, I almost never get sick. I haven't had so much as a bad cold in years. That's why I will be the first to come down with the swine flu. See if I'm wrong. Tell me your thoughts on schwine flu.
To pigs and prophets!
Meg
I had an Italian sub with all sorts of pork products today to commemorate the occasion. Cheers!
ReplyDeletethe swine IS like anyother flu! its just the fact that our flu shots dont cover it and mexico doesnt have the kind of medical supply we do!!!!! so dont FREAK OUT!!!!! its like any other flu!!!!! not ANY worse. more people die pf the normal spanish influinza than have with the swine flu! much much more!!!!! listen to her she has a GREAT point!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWho's making everyone FREAK OUT??? Could it be the media??
ReplyDeleteAmen Megan! I just ate a twenty pound bag of pork rinds and a dozen link snausages in your honor. Schwine on you crazy diamond!
ReplyDeleteAu contraire, I say to the media making people freak out question. It's because people are freaking out and care so much that the media cover it. If people didn't care, media wouldn't waste their time.
